Hai-Bin DUAN(M'07-SM'08) received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in April 2005. He is currently an associate professor of Beihang University (BUAA). Dr. DUAN has got 11 accepted China Invention Patents, 2 China Utility Model Patents, 5 Software Registrations, also published over 50 papers and 2 books, including Ant Colony Algorithms: Theory and Applications(Science Press) and Bio-inspired Intelligent Computing(Science Press). His work has been cited extensively in professional journals and dissertations. He was the "New Star of Science and Technology" of Beijing City(2007), "Excellent Ph. D. Dissertation" Award winner of Jiangsu Province(2006), "New Talent of Blue Sky" Award winner of BUAA(2006), "Excellent Ph. D. Graduate" of Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense(2005), Nominating Prize of "Ten Outstanding Youngman" of Jiangsu Province(2004). He is  the Editor-in-chief of International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics (IJICC), and associate editors or editorial boards for 6 international journals.
